No. 4 Aggies Set to Wrap up Fall Season at Bear Brawl

WACO, Texas – The No. 4 Texas A&M women's golf team is set to wrap up its historic fall season at the Bear Brawl with 36 holes of action at Ridgewood Country Club Oct. 28.
 
The Maroon & White is seeking its fourth tournament victory of the season, which would be tied for the second most in program history. The 2022-23 team holds the record with five tourney triumphs, which was highlighted with an SEC Championship and a trip to the semifinals at NCAAs.
 
The Aggies are fresh off an epic seven-stroke comeback at the Jim West Challenge. They also won the Folds of Honor Collegiate and Carmel Cup and posted a runner-up performance at the NB3 Match Play at Twin Warriors.
 
The Lineup
Head coach Gerrod Chadwell is bringing a lineup that is led by Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio who has three top 15 finishes to start the season with one of those being a win at the Carmel Cup. The junior is ranked No. 31 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Vanessa Borovilos will also lead the charge for the Aggies, having posted a pair of top three outings this season.
 
Rounding out the lineup are Brynn Kort, Louise Reau and Sky Sudberry. Competing as individuals are Kynadie Adams, Mia Nixon and Natalie Yen.
 
The Format
Texas A&M tees off for the one-day event with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The field is comprised of 11 teams with Baylor acting as host at its home course. Live stats can be followed at scoreboard.clippd.com.
