Silva Wins Red Bracket to Close Out Play in Waco

WACO – Texas A&M's Ethan Silva won in straight-sets to take home the red bracket singles crown at the Waco Fall Kickoff Classic at the Hurd Tennis Center Sunday.
Silva, the senior from Harlingen, faced Felipe Pagnacco from Texas Tech in the final, ultimately taking down his opponent, 6-3, 6-3.
The doubles tandem of junior Lathan Skrobarcek and redshirt sophomore Ritesh Patil battled it out in a tiebreaker versus Noah McDonald and Meethre Barot of SMU, coming out victorious to claim third place in the blue draw, 8-7 (3).
Skrobarcek, Patil and freshman Egor Gorin all fell short in their hard-fought championship matches, each taking home second in their respective draws.
The Maroon & White can next be seen at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma from Sept. 20-28.
