BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M men's tennis head coach Steve Denton announced the addition of Egor Gorin to the Aggies' 2025-26 roster.
"It is really exciting that we have signed Egor Gorin from Russia," Denton said. "Egor has been training in Serbia for the last couple of years. He caught the eye of Coach Barnaby Smith in Europe last summer. Egor has attributes of being a very good player. He is an extremely hard worker, has a real passion for the game of tennis and an added bonus is a great athlete with a classic build for the game of tennis. I anticipate Egor improving a lot and becoming an all-court player that will greatly contribute to the success of our team."
Gorin was ranked as high as 190 in the junior ITF Rankings. Over his five-year junior career, the Moscow native has tallied almost 90 singles and over 60 doubles wins. Gorin has two doubles titles to his name, including the J100 Mostar and J5 Larnaca, and one singles title, the J60 Ulcinj.
"Joining Texas A&M means so much to me," Gorin said. "From the first moment, I felt the warmth and support of the community, and I knew this was the right place for me. I'm grateful for the chance to compete for such a special program, and I'm determined to give everything I have for my coaches, teammates, and the Aggie family. Gig' em!"
