Paup Pavilion
Swimming and Diving
In January 2021, Texas A&M Athletics unveiled a game changer for collegiate swimming and diving.
The $8.2 million Anne & Henry B. “Hank” Paup ’70 Pavilion officially opened as an expansion of the A&M Student Recreation Center’s Natatorium and serves as the home for the Aggie men’s and women’s programs.
The world-class facility features a grand lobby entrance, spacious men’s and women’s locker rooms, a lounge for student-athletes with a fueling station, an athletic training room with hydrotherapy pools and a one-of-a-kind dry land diving room as well as offices and meeting spaces for the coaching staff.
In addition, Paup Pavilion features a state-of-the-art dry land diving room that is for the program's exclusive use. The dry land room consists of three diving boards over a 12-foot foam pit that allows athletes to preform movements without injury. It also has two diving dry boards over foam blocks designed for hurdle work and flips. The dry land space has an in-ground trampoline with spotting rig located overhead and a large spring floor for stretching and exercise, plus six TVs for practice playback.
The lead gift for the facility was made by the pavilion’s namesakes – Anne and Hank Paup ’70. Steadfast supporters of Aggie Athletics, the Paups’ commitment to the project and the swimming and diving programs was critical to the facility’s construction.
“Anne and I are honored to be in a position to share some of our lifelong blessings in order to lead on this project,” said Hank Paup.
