
GAME PREVIEW - Prairie View A&M & Incarnate Word

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Aggies are in the midst of the busiest portion of their schedule playing two midweek games for the first of two consecutive weeks. The Maroon and White host Prairie View A&M Tuesday and Incarnate Word Wednesday on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
Dating back to the 2014 season, the Aggies have won 30 of their last 32 midweek contests, including a 1-0 mark in 2017.
Six Texas A&M freshmen combined to hit 38-for-87 (.437) with 30 runs, six doubles, three triples, six home runs and 28 RBI in the first seven games of the season. Braden Shewmake, who earned SEC Freshman of the Week recognition for his performance the opening weekend, is hitting .469 (15-for-32) with eight runs, four doubles, one triple, one home run and 12 RBI, including four ribbies in his debut. He batted 5-for-5 with one double, one home run, two runs and three RBI.
The Aggies will be sending a pair of southpaws out for starts, including John Doxakis on Tuesday and Kaylor Chafin making his first career start on Wednesday.
The game will be available for viewing on SEC Network + with Will Johnson and Mark Johnson on the call.
