COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 2 Texas A&M Aggies wrap up their non-conference slate on Tuesday as they host the Sam Houston State Bearkats in a 6:34 pm contest on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The Aggies have been spectacular in regular-season, non-conference play the last two seasons going a combined 44-2.
Texas A&M has won 17 of their last 21, including winning seven of nine on the road. The Bearkats, skippered by former Aggie assistant coach Matt Deggs, are equally hot, winning 15 of their last 18 after starting the season 18-16.
BOOMER WHITE ranks fourth in the nation in batting average (.424) and fifth in hits (84) heading into the series. White's 53 hits in SEC play are the most since Micah Gibbs logged 54 in 2010. HUNTER MELTON ranks 13th in the nation with 60 RBI. White is hitting .482 (53-for-110) in 27 league games.
