COLLEGE STATION- Courtney Walker was named Team MVP at the 2016 Texas A&M Women's Basketball Banquet, held at the Zone Club at Kyle Field. Student-athletes, coaches and fans gathered to celebrate the squad's 2015-16 season, which saw the Aggies post a 22-10 record and earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the 11th straight season.
Walker (Edmond, Okla.) was named Team MVP for the second consecutive year. Walker, who ended her career as A&M's all-time leading scorer, was named an All-American by the Associated Press for the third straight season, after the senior led the SEC with 18.4 points per game. Walker, who was named First Team All-SEC for the third straight season, was also honored with the team's Miss Offense Award.
Junior forward Taylor Cooper (Shawnee, Okla.) earned the team's prestigious Miss Aggie Award. Cooper, who was named to the SEC's Community Service Team in February, has helped with the Aggies' mentor program with Bryan ISD and with the Little Dribblers of Bryan.

Jones was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team for the third consecutive season, making her the only player in league history with three selections to the team. Jones was a Second Team All-SEC selection in 2015-16, and led the SEC in assists for the third consecutive season, becoming the first player since 1990 to lead the SEC in assists for three straight years.
Senior guard Chelsea Jennings (Ft. Worth, Texas) took home both the Most Improved and the 6th Man Award for the second consecutive season. Jennings, the SEC's 6th Woman of the Year, averaged 10.8 points in conference play and had 16 double-digit scoring games. She has quadrupled her scoring average since her sophomore year.
