SERIES PREVIEW: No. 13 LSU

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 2 Texas A&M Aggies face their first ranked opponent of the season as the Maroon and White host the No. 13 LSU Tigers for a three-game series beginning Thursday.
The Aggies look to extend an 18-game home win streak.
Texas A&M has eight players hitting over .300, including J.B. MOSS (.415), BOOMER WHITE (.407), RYNE BIRK (.353), NICK CHORUBY (.343), MICHAEL BARASH (.338), HUNTER MELTON (.338), JOEL DAVIS (.326) and NICK BANKS (.311).
Moss has been the straw that stirs the drink thus far on the season. He's reached base in all 20 games he's played in. The senior leads the team in batting average (.415), slugging percentage (.695), runs (29) and doubles (eight). Moss leads an offense that ranks fourth in the nation with a .343 batting average. The Aggies also rank fourth in the nation in triples per game (0.62), sixth in slugging percentage (.523), eighth in on-base percentage (.420) and 12th in doubles per game (2.52).
The Thursday and Friday games will air on the SEC Network. Tom Hart (play-by-play) and Kyle Peterson (color analyst) will be on the call.
