
Harvey Earns All-America Recogniton

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M sophomore midfielder Mikaela Harvey was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division I All-America Second Team the organization announced Friday.
Harvey started 25 of the 26 matches for the Aggies in 2015, logging 18 points on seven goals and four assists. She earned All-SEC First Team honors as a midfielder. Harvey also earned SEC Tournament All-Tournament status as the Aggies advanced to the championship match for the third consecutive season.
For her career, Harvey has played in 46 matches, including 33 starts. She has 20 points on seven goals and six assists.
The Aggies have produced an All-American in each of the last four campaigns, including Shea Groom and Meghan Streight in 2014, Groom in 2013 and Streight in 2012. Texas A&M now boasts 14 NSCAA All-Americans who have combined for 19 citations.
Harvey is currently participating in the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football U-20 Championships in San Pedro Sula, Honduras as part of the US Soccer U20 Women's National Team. The Liberty Hill, Texas-native has made multiple stints with the U20 team, including appearances with the squad at tournaments in La Manga Spain and Carson, California in 2015.
The Aggies finished the 2015 campaign with a 17-7-2 record, advancing to the NCAA Championship for the 21st consecutive season, the fourth lengthiest active streak in the nation. The Maroon and White advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the sixth time in school annals along with making their 14th Sweet Sixteen appearance.
