The No. 18 Texas A&M women's basketball team faces No. 17 Oklahoma in the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Sunday at 4 p.m., inside Chesapeake Energy Arena, home of the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder.
The game is broadcast on Fox Sports 1, which marks Texas A&M's first team sporting event on the channel that started in 2013. Fans in Bryan-College Station can listen to Ron Thulin and Brenda VanLengen's call on Suddenlink channel 736, DirecTV 219 and Dish Network 150. In addition, the game is available to authenticated users on the Fox Sports Go app and FoxSportsGo.com.
The Texas A&M Sports Network picks up this game to affiliates across the state, including The Zone 1150 AM/102.7 FM in Bryan-College Station. Tom Turbiville and Steve Miller also bring listeners the action at 12thMan.com/showcase and the Radio Aggieland app.
The Aggies have won seven of the last eight, and 12 of the last 16, meetings against Oklahoma, but the two schools have not met since Texas A&M joined the SEC for the 2012-13 season.
A&M features the SEC's active career leaders in points (Courtney Walker) and assists (Jordan Jones) entering this game. Jones, who is vying to become the first SEC player to lead the league in assists in three straight seasons, graduated from Texas A&M on Friday and is set to continue her studies in the spring.
The Sooners have won eight straight games on their way to a 9-1 start. Oklahoma is led offensively by Kaylon Williams, who is averaging 14.3 points and 8.9 rebounds per game—both tops on the team.
After this game, Texas A&M hosts Little Rock at Reed Arena on Tuesday, December 22 at 12 p.m. The Aggies are looking to avenge a loss in the 2015 NCAA Tournament, and the game features several Holiday-themed promotions, including Mystery Stockings for the first 100 fans.
