Texas A&M Women’s Tennis Signs Five-Star Recruit Constance Branstine

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Constance Branstine, the 30th-top prospect in the nation and a five-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play tennis at Texas A&M, Aggie women's tennis head coach Mark Weaver announced.
"We are very excited to announce that Constance Branstine will be joining the Texas A&M women's tennis team next fall," said Weaver, who is in his first year as head coach of the Aggies. "Constance is one of extremely high-character and is also very well-respected in the junior tennis community. It is a rarity in the sense that her rankings and results have steadily improved in each of the last four years. She has a strong desire to continue to improve her tennis over the course of her college years and beyond, which is something that really stands out to us when we are looking at building our program for the future years to come."
Branstine, from Orange, Calif., helped Team SoCal capture the USTA Girls 18 and under National Team Championships in Claremont, Calif., this past summer. As a junior, Branstine transferred from a private school to Villa Park High School, where she promptly led the Spartans to their first Crestview League title in more than a decade.
Branstine, whose older sister Cassidy, plays tennis at UC Irvine, chose A&M over offers from Arizona State, Ole Miss and TCU.
