COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M equestrian Associate Head Coach Linzy Woolf announced today the signing of Kristen Mohr (pronounced MORE) to a national letter of intent to ride for the Aggies, starting in the fall of 2014.

“We are very excited to add Kristen to our roster,” Woolf said. “She is one of the top riders in the nation and will bring a large amount of talent and invaluable experience to our hunter seat squad. Kristen is very comfortable with catch riding and will be a major asset to our team.”

Mohr (Long Valley, N.J.) will graduate from West Morris Central High School in the spring of 2014 before joining the Aggies as a hunter seat rider next season. Mohr’s long list of accomplishments includes winning the Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) National Children’s Medal Finals, the Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) Children’s Hunter Finals, the Ronnie Mutch Equitation Award and the Stewart Warner Cup at Capital Challenge. She has also been a Champion in 12 & Under Equitation and 13-14-Year-Old Equitation at Capital Challenge.

Mohr has competed at the prestigious Medal and Maclay Finals from 2009-13, taking seventh at Zone 2 Maclay Regionals in 2013. She claimed a ninth-place finish at the same event in 2011. Mohr has also earned ribbons at Devon in Equitation for the past five years (2009-13) and won a reserve championship in Small Junior Hunters at both Devon and at the Hampton Classic.
