COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M equestrian sophomore Kimmy Saul was crowned the Younger Adult Hunters Circuit Champion at the Vermont Summer Festival this year.

Saul (Brookeville, Md.) competed against a pool of other 18-to-35-year-olds, topping her division on a borrowed horse from Alyson Gurney, Delphine.

This was my first show on Delphine and I couldn't be happier,” Saul said. “It was the only chance I got to compete this summer so I'm really pleased with the outcome. I'm excited to get back into practicing with the team and look forward to this season.”

Saul began her career as an Aggie last season, joining the team as a freshman hunter seat rider. The Texas A&M equestrian team gets underway for the 2013-14 season on Sept. 20 with the annual Maroon & White Scrimmage. The first official competition is Oct. 5 at Kansas State.
