BRYAN, Texas - The sixth-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team (5-6, 1-5 SEC) dropped a 16-6 decision to No. 2 Georgia (8-4, 3-3 SEC) Friday on Senior Day in the Aggies' final meet of the regular season at the Brazos County Expo Complex.

Thirteen Aggie seniors rode for the last time on friendly soil as Kristin Bell, Amanda Brightwell, Morgan Cleveland, Cassie Mantor, Becca Murray, Emma Myers, Carey Nowacek, Kori Pickett, CiCi Riddle, Kelsi Shevlin, Amanda Whitney, Brittany Williams and Emily Williams were honored on Senior Day.

"We are so proud of this group of seniors and what they have meant to our program," Head Coach Tana McKay said. "Even though this is their last home meet, we still have them for the SEC Championships and the NCEA National Championship Meet, and we're excited to see what they will do there. Their leadership, talent and passion for this sport will truly be missed."

Murray rode to a 73.5-72 reining victory and Shevlin earned a 79-73 win in equitation on the flat to end their regular-season careers on a high note.

Georgia jumped to a 4-2 lead on the meet after reining, but Murray and Shelby St. Hilaire each earned wins for the Aggies. St. Hilaire's 75.5-point ride earned her the first reining victory and the first Most Outstanding Player (MOP) honor of her career. The sophomore's total is the second-highest score by an Aggie reining rider this year.

A&M's Marlena Parker took a one-point win in equitation over fences. The freshman ended her debut regular-season with a 5-1 record, and a 3-1 conference mark. UGA tallied five wins in the discipline to bring the meet total to 9-3 in the Bulldogs' favor.

Sophomore Molli Jacobs used a season second-best score of 76.5 to give the Aggies their fourth win of the day when she defeated UGA's Rachel Kolb in horsemanship. Laura Brainard also earned a horsemanship win, bringing her season tally to 6-4 with four SEC wins - including a 2-0 sweep of UGA. Cassie Mantor tied with her opponent, and UGA earned the discipline victory, 3-2.

With the Bulldogs leading 12-5 through three events, the meet entered equitation on the flat, the final event. Shevlin's six-point win over UGA's Leylan Gleeson was the only win the Aggies could pick up, but freshman Hannah Williams battled to a 78-78 draw with her opponent. In exhibition, A&M's Ellie Wilkins picked up a 75-70 win on the flat.

The 4-1 win in equitation gave the Bulldogs a 16-6 overall victory over the Aggies. Both teams will travel to the SEC Championship, March 29-30 in Auburn, Ala. The Aggies will enter the conference tournament as the No. 4 seed. To learn more about Texas A&M equestrian, log on to AggieAthletics.com and follow @AggieEquestrian.
