FRESNO, Calif. - A perfect showing by the Texas A&M horsemanship squad lifted the No. 1-ranked Aggie equestrian team to an 11-8 victory over ninth-ranked Fresno Stare Saturday afternoon at the Student Horse Center.

A&M used the horsemanship sweep and a 1-point victory over fences to close the regular season with a program-best 10-1 record. FSU wrapped its year at 3-6.

The ride of the afternoon came on the flat, as junior Elizabeth Solch executed a career-high 92-point effort to take home MVP honors.

Sophomore Carey Nowacek claimed A&M's other MVP on the day with a 72-point ride in horsemanship.

Texas A&M returns home next weekend when the Aggies play host to the Big 12 Championship. A&M is expected to draw the top seed for the event, which takes place Friday and Saturday at the Brazos County Expo Complex.
