COLLEGE STATION -- The Texas A&M men’s swimming and diving team was ranked No. 15 in the Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Rankings, which were released on Thursday.

The Aggies will get a chance to improve on their national ranking when they travel to Dallas to take on the SMU Mustangs in a 7 p.m. dual meet on Friday at Perkins Natatorium on the SMU campus. It will be the Aggies’ final swimming competition before the Southeastern Conference Championships. The Aggies and Ponies have met annually for more than 60 years with A&M taking three of the last four meetings, including last year’s 142-92 win in College Station.

A&M is coming off a narrow 157.5-142.5 loss to SEC foe LSU in Baton Rouge last Saturday. The Aggies won eight events against Tigers with seniors Omar Enriquez and Kyle Troskot leading the way with two wins apiece. Enriquez won the 500 and 1,000 free, while Troskot hit the wall first in the 50 and 100 free. Also taking individual wins were senior Paul-Marc Schweitzer in the 200 free, sophomore Alexandros Theocharidis in the 100 back and senior Adam Ruiz on the 1-meter springboard.
