Below is the rank of criteria utilized to determine the qualifiers for the NCAA Championships; the criteria are utilized until seven men and 11 women are selected. The women's qualifiers will advance to the NCAA Championships in Austin (March 17-19) while the men's qualifiers will compete at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. (March 24-26).
As an example, in accordance to the listing below, if women's diver A wins the one-meter, three-meter and platform events, only one NCAA Championships bid is taken by that diver, and 11 women's bids still remain available. If three separate divers win the platform, one-meter and three-meter events, three bids are awarded and nine remain. Bids are not subtracted from a zone if one diver wins two or more events; the progression down the list of criteria continues until seven male divers and 11 female divers are selected.
