Former Texas A&M swimmer Casey Strange received a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, the NCAA announced on Tuesday.
Strange, who graduated with a degree in accounting, may use the $7,500 scholarship for part-time or full-time postgraduate study at a university or professional school.
Strange, from Houston, Texas, was a four-year letterwinner for the Aggies from 2007-10, and he ranks as one of the top freestyle sprinters in school history. Strange, a seven-time All-American, was a three-time member of the Academic All-Big 12 Swimming and Diving Team.
On A&M’s top 10 performers list, Strange ranks No. 2 in the 50-yard freestyle and No. 7 in the 100 freestyle, and he swam the anchor leg on the two fastest 200-yard medley relays in school history.
