Read a sampling of some of the emails received by the Athletics Department from Alabama fans and staff commenting on their visit to Kyle Field...

No question today, just a comment.  What a great welcome Alabama fans received when we came to play last week's game at Texas A&M.  I am an LSU grad/fan and an Alabama fan by marriage.  I have never experienced such hospitality and sportsmanship from any fans anywhere! An Aggie stranger we met by accident became an instant friend who was eager to help us find our way around campus. He invited us to join his group at their tailgate party. On our walk to the stadium so many welcomed us and let us know how glad they were to be part of the SEC.  I wondered how we might be treated after the game, but as we left the stadium, so many people came over to shake our hands, tell us what a great game we played, and wish us a safe trip home.  What I loved most was that our two grandchildren were able to experience this great show of sportsmanship.  Sometimes the rivalry between teams becomes so fierce, fans forget their manners and civility.  Not so Aggie fans!  Texas A&M is first rate and first class in my book.  Thanks for your hospitality.

WOW! What a game. The Texas A&M vs Alabama series is shaping up to be one of the great rivalries in the SEC and country ! The last two games have been as exciting as they come.

Please extend our heartfelt thanks to all Aggie fans. Our radio talk shows are filled with compliments from our fans about how nice, respectful, and gracious the Aggie fans were. We sincerely hope that they were treated the same way last year in Tuscaloosa, and I will do all I can to ensure they are treated that way when you come to our stadium next year. This is shaping up to be a great SEC rivalry and we’re proud you are in our conference.

All the best,

I wanted to formally thank you for all of the many courtesies that you and your staffs extended to the University of Alabama prior to and during our trip this last weekend to College Station. I have been arranging the logistics for our football team’s travel for many years, and I have never experienced greater hospitality and a willingness to accommodate our entire travel party from any other university. Not only were all of the Texas A&M Athletic Department representatives great professionals to work with, they were even greater ambassadors for your school. We will make every effort to reciprocate when you come back to Tuscaloosa next year.

What a great atmosphere and wonderful traditions you have at Texas A&M! It is a special place for college football, and we are delighted that you are part of the SEC Family.

Best of luck the rest of the football season.

I wanted to let you know how much my wife and I enjoyed visiting College Station and your beautiful university this weekend, for the big game.

Naturally, we were excited to win. However, all of our friends and family who attended, were blown away by the hospitality of your wonderful fans. Everyone was so helpful and kind, it really made us feel great about our trip. This was before and after the game.

It is very obvious your folks take a great amount of pride in their school and they should. My only error was trying to start a Roll Tide Roll chant on the bus ride from the mall, with only 5 Bama fans on board. We got a little over powered, but it was still fun!

I sincerely hope you receive the same kind of treatment during your next trip to Tuscaloosa. We will do our best to pass it along, if we have a chance to attend.

Sincerely,

Terry Wiggins

PS Hope you leave Johnny and Mike behind.
