No. 3 seeded Texas A&M heads to Lincoln, Neb. and Pinnacle Bank Arena to take on No. 7 seeded DePaul in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. It is the Aggies’ sixth appearance in the Sweet 16, and the fifth since 2008.

The Aggies reach this round after two wins by 15+ points over North Dakota and James Madison to exit the College Station 1st/2nd Round site victorious. The Aggies were led by Jordan Jones, whose 13.5 assists per game lead the NCAA Tournament entering the Regional Semifinals. The Aggies were particularly strong in the second half of the wins, outscoring North Dakota by 11 and James Madison by 12 after halftime to cruise to victory.

DePaul had a very different road to get to this point, knocking off Oklahoma 104-100 in a thrilling First Round game, before bouncing No. 2 seeded Duke 74-65 in front of a hostile crowd at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C. The Blue Demons have won nine straight games, including all three games of the Big East Tournament. DePaul ranks third in the nation with 84.0 points per game.

The game is broadcast nationally without interruption on ESPN, with Pam Ward, Carolyn Peck and LaChina Robinson bringing fans the action from Pinnacle Bank Arena. Mike Wright and Steve Miller have the call on the Texas A&M Sports Network, which is on Sports Radio 1150 The Zone in Bryan-College Station.

The winner of this game faces No. 1 UConn or BYU in the Lincoln Regional Final on Monday, March 31. The Aggies are looking for their third Elite Eight appearance.
