FLORENCE, Italy - Senior Kristi Bellock scored 26 points to lead the Texas A&M women's basketball team to a 93-46 rout of All-Star Italy on Tuesday evening inside the Palazzetto dello Sport San Morcellino in the Aggies' second game during their tour of Italy.

A&M, which dropped a 4-point contest to All-Star Italy two days ago, got off to a phenomenal start, going on a 15-0 run in the first four and-a-half minutes of the game. The Aggies had a comfortable 24-6 lead at the end of the first period. They continued to pull away early and increased their lead to 55-21 by halftime.

"Obviously Florence is our city," head coach Gary Blair said. "We played very well tonight. I think our kids felt like they got off the boat wrong the other day, but give credit to the other team because they took it to us. The difference today was in our transition game and our post players were very active. Both (Kelsey) Bone and Bellock played well as a unit. Our bench was ready when they came in and got their minutes. Coach Starkey had them ready defensively and we did a very good job. Overall, I was pleased with the effort."

The second half started much like the first with the Aggies going on a 16-2 run in the first five-and-a-half minutes of the third period. It was a true team effort as all 14 A&M players saw time on the court with 13 of them contributing to the scoring.

Junior Kelsey Bone had 19 points for the Aggies. Sophomore Tori Scott added 9 and junior Karla Gilbert chipped in 7 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Bellock also added seven rebounds and four steals.

M. Micovic led All-Star Italy with 17 points, while M. Filippi contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Aggies tallied 60 rebounds and 15 steals. Italy was held to just 20 percent shooting and was forced into 24 turnovers.

Texas A&M will travel to Venice tomorrow and will play the third of a four-game tour on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. local time (1 p.m. CT). Scoring updates will be provided on the Aggies' official Twitter feed at @Aggie_W_Hoops.
