COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M women's basketball team received a No. 12 national ranking in the final USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches' Poll released Wednesday.

Claiming the top spot in the poll was 2012 NCAA National Champion Baylor, followed national runner-up Notre Dame. Stanford, Connecticut and Maryland round out the top five. Duke came in at No. 6 before Tennessee, Kentucky, Penn State, Georgia Tech and Miami (Fla.).

The Aggies have now been ranked in the Coaches' Poll for 120 consecutive weeks.

In 2011-12, A&M became one of just seven elite teams to reach the NCAA Sweet 16 four of the last five years. The team was ranked as high as No. 4 in both the Coaches' Poll and Associated Press Top 25 Poll and played the second-toughest schedule in the nation. The Aggies finished the season 24-11 for the program's 12th 20-win season.
