COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Aggie fans will get their first chance to see the new-look Texas A&M men's basketball team this Friday as the team hosts its Maroon & White Scrimmage at approximately 8:15 p.m. inside Reed Arena.

The scrimmage, which will feature a pair of 12-minute periods, is a part of a big sports weekend on the A&M campus as it will take place after the Aggie volleyball team's match against Tennessee at Reed Arena and prior to Yell Practice at Kyle Field in advance of the LSU football game. The Aggie soccer team is also in action for a pair of matches this weekend.

The night offers a preview look at the A&M men's squad which features nine returning letterman and seven talented newcomers under the direction of second-year head coach Billy Kennedy, who leads the program into its inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference.

Students are encouraged to attend the Maroon & White Scrimmage as the Reed Rowdies will provide free pepperoni rolls from local Texas A&M athletics sponsor Double Dave's and drinks to the A&M faithful. Additionally, one lucky student will have the chance to win a trip with the team when the Aggies take on Oklahoma at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on Dec. 15. The OU trip drawing winner will be announced at the conclusion of the scrimmage and must be present to win.

Texas A&M, which began full-team practices late last week, will make final preparations for the 2012-13 campaign during an exhibition game against Incarnate Word on Nov. 3 before officially tipping off the season on Nov. 9 when it welcomes Louisiana Tech to Reed Arena.

Season tickets are on sale and fans are encouraged to make sure they have a seat for all the exciting Aggie basketball action by visiting the 12th Man Foundation's Ticket Center or calling 1-(888)-992-4443
