Harris, who hails from Chicago's Hyde Park Academy High School, will be able to play this fall and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
"I promised we would never go another season with one point guard," Kennedy said. "Fabyon is a player who brings toughness and scoring ability to our team. His scoring ability also allows him to play off the ball. He comes from a great program at the College of Southern Idaho and has won everywhere he's been. He's a nice addition to this year's class."
The 5-10, 165-pound scorer was named an NCJAA First-Team All-American earlier this week after leading CSI to conference and regional championships and an eighth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.
The Region 18 Player of the Year, Harris averaged 17.1 points and 5.1 rebounds for the Golden Eagles in leading them to a 31-5 record this winter. He shot 45 percent from the field, 41 percent from behind the arc and 75 percent from the free-throw line, and posted a team-best 63 steals.
As a freshman, Harris helped CSI to a 33-4 record and the 2011 NJCAA National Championship. He appeared in 35 games and averaged 8.7 points and two rebounds.
At Hyde Park Academy, Harris led the Thunderbirds to a 24-8 record and a league championship, earning all-city, all-area and all-state honors in the process.
Harris adds to a very strong Texas A&M signing class, which includes November signees Alex Caruso and J-Mychal Reese; Florida guard Shawn Smith, who officially became an Aggie on Wednesday; and Antwan Space, a transfer from Florida State who inked with the A&M program earlier on Thursday.
