ESPN.com named Fitzgerald as the 10th best prospect in Georgia and the 32nd best forward nationally, while Scout.com projected him as the 44th top prospect in the country at the position ... attended Tucker High School in Tucker, Ga., where he played for coach James Hartry ... as a senior averaged 22.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest while garnering all-state and district MVP honors ... earned first team all-region honors as a junior, averaging 16 points, nine rebounds and two blocks ... helped THS to a 23-6 overall record in 2011-12 while claiming the Region 6A-AAAA Championship and reaching the second round of the state tournament ... an honor roll student all four years at THS ... played AAU with the Georgia Tornados ... also recruited by Clemson, Florida State and Georgia among others.
