At Barbers Hill High School: Garnered first team All-District 19-4A, All-Houston and Rawlings All-American honors in 2011 and 2012 and Texas Rangers Area Code Team in 2011... team advanced to the first round of the playoff in 2011 and the fourth round in 2012... played summer baseball for the Houston Heat... drafted in the 39th round of the 2012 draft to the Seattle Mariners.
