2012 (FRESHMAN): Did not see action during a redshirt season... pitched in 10 games for the Brazos Valley Bombers of the Texas Collegiate League, including one start... notched a 1-1 record with a 5.40 ERA, 11 walks and 28 strikeouts in 20.0 innings pitched.

At Tomball High School: Played for Rick Lynch at Tomball High School... garnered first-team all-district, second-team All-Greater Houston and Preseason Rawlings All-American honors as a senior... logged an ERA of 1.10, with 63 innings pitched and 98 strikeouts his senior year... threw a one-hitter against Austin Anderson to help his team advance to the fourth round of playoffs, the farthest Tomball has ever progressed... team proceeded to playoffs all four years he was on the team, advancing to the second round in 2009 and 2010, the first round in 2011 and the fourth round in 2012... played summer baseball for the Banditos Black... received second place in Perfect Game World Series two years in a row for the Banditos Black.

Personal: Rex Garrett Hill was born on September 8, 1993 in Tomball, Texas to Ray and Wanda Hill... has an older brother (Ross) and an older sister (Amanda)... dad pitched for UT Pan American and sister pitched for University of Louisiana... planning to major in sports management and wishes to start up and run his own baseball organization... attended the BP MS 150, a bike ride from Houston to Austin which takes two days in the summer of 2012... enjoys fishing and hunting.
