2015 (JUNIOR): 6-0 with a 3.12 ERA, has fanned 43 hitters and only allowed four walks (10.75 K/BB ratio)...pitched seven innings against Holy Cross (2/15) giving up one unearned run, allowing only five base runners, and earning the win...won his second game against Penn State (2/22) pitching 6.2 innings, stiking out six, and walking none..had another qaulity start versus Dartmouth (3/1) and recorded his third win of the season...won his fourth game of the year pitching 7.1 innings and allowing two runs and striking out nine against Baylor (3/8)...struck out seven in 8.1 innings and notched his fifth win of the season against Auburn(3/14)...pitched 6.0 scoreless innings and picked up his win number six...

2014 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 20 games as a sophomore, including four starts... logged a 3-1 record with a 3.15 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 45.2 innings of work... went 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 13.0 innings in his four starts... earned a win in relief in a midweek game against Stephen F. Austin (2/18)... logged a career-high nine strikeouts while allowing just three hits and one walk over 6.0 shutout innings of midweek win against Texas Southern (3/5)... worked 3.0 innings of scoreless relief against Texas-Pan American (3/12), scattering four hits and two walks... weaved 8.1 innings of scoreless relief in consecutive appearances against Mississippi State (4/24) and LSU (5/2), including 5.0 frames against the Bulldogs, striking out four and allowing two hits... earned midweek win in relief with two blank frames against Sam Houston State (5/13)... worked 5.2 innings of solid relief in NCAA Regional action against Texas (5/30), allowing one run on four hits while striking out three... appeared in 12 games for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League, including 11 starts... ranked fifth in the Northwoods League with a 2.09 ERA and held opponents to a .222 batting average... logged a 3-3 record and recorded 69 strikeouts in 77.2 innings... tabbed Northwoods League Co-Pitcher of the Year, ranking fifth in ERA, second in strikeouts and first in complete games... was rated No. 4 on the Northwoods League Top 200 Prospect Report.

 2013 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Earned SEC Freshman of the Week recognition on March 25... made 26 appearances as a freshman, including two starts, posting a 2-3 record with a 4.17 ERA in 36.2 innings of work... allowed 43 hits and just two hits while striking out 21... pitched in nine SEC games, including two starts, logging a 2-2 record and 4.50 ERA over 18.0 innings... was a go-to relief pitcher early in the season, appearing in nine of the Aggies’ first 13 games... made first collegiate appearance in season opener, with 0.2 scoreless innings against Illinois-Chicago (2/15)... worked 3.0 innings of shutout relief against Houston at the Houston College Classic (3/1) scattering one hit and one walk while striking out one ... picked up his first career victory, pitching 1.2 scoreless innings against Georgia allowing just one hit while striking out one... earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors following his relief appearance against Ole Miss (3/24)... worked 5.0 innings of scoreless relief, scattering three hits and one walk while striking out three Rebels ... pitched 2.2 innings of shutout relief in a pair of wins over Missouri (5/4-5), including 2.1 blank frames in the series finale... allowed just one run on one hit while striking out two over 4.1 innings in NCAA Regional game against UC Santa Barbara (5/31)... appeared in 12 games for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League, including 11 starts... posted a 5-3 record with a 2.50 ERA in 72.0 innings of work... yielded 67 hits and 19 walks while striking out 66.

2012 (FRESHMAN): Did not see action during a redshirt season... pitched for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League... started 11 games, registering a 3-6 record with a 3.43 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 78.2 innings.

AT MIDWAY HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Paul Offill at Midway High School in Waco, Texas ... as a senior earned THSCA first team All-State honors as a pitcher along with first team Super CenTex and district MVP honors ... finished his senior year (2011) with a 10-1 record, 0.63 ERA and 122 strikeouts in 66.2 innings pitched ... also maintained a .421 average at the plate with 24 extra base hits ... tossed three consecutive no-hitters in district play ... as a junior (2010) earned Texas Sports Writers Association third team All-State accolades as a pitcher and THSCA second team All-State honors as an outfielder ... compiled a 10-3 record as a junior with a 1.31 ERA... put together a 5-0 season as a sophomore (2009) with a 0.58 ERA to earn district Newcomer of the Year honors ... member of the National Honor Society... played summer ball with the Buzz Lightning Baseball Academy.

PERSONAL: Matthew Allen Kent was born Sept. 13, 1992, in Waco, Texas, to parents Dale and Pamela Kent... has a younger brother, Nathan... a sports management major who aspires to one day be a coach or work on the business side of sports... in his spare time enjoys watching NASCAR and cooking.
