During his first season in College Station played in 59 games drawing 30 starts, all at second base ... batted .276 (32-for-116) with five extra base hits ... knocked in 18 runs while scoring 18 himself ... Stole four bases in five attempts ... enjoyed a breakout day at the plate during a win over Centenary (March 8) by going 3-for-4 with a season-best four runs ... connected on his first career home run against Houston (April 5) ... doubled twice and drove in a season-high three runs against No. 15 Oklahoma State (April 22) ... selected to the Big 12 All-Freshman team.
