The match, originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., was changed because the Sooners' football game at Baylor was assigned a 7 p.m. kick-off time and will air on ABC.
The Aggies (20-6, 9-4 Big 12) are in third place in the Big 12 standings, two games ahead of the fourth-place Sooners (20-9, 7-6 Big 12). A&M fought off three match points and came back to defeat then-No. 22 Oklahoma, 22-25, 19-25, 25-17, 29-27, 15-11, when the teams met earlier this season in College Station.
This is the second time change A&M has announced this week. On Wednesday, A&M announced that its match against No. 9 Texas at Reed Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 23, has also been changed to a 5 p.m. start. All A&M students will be admitted free to the State Farm Lone Star Showdown match by showing their A&M student ID. Fans showing a ticket to the Thursday A&M-Texas football game can purchase a general admission ticket for only $3.
The Nov. 23 match will be the final conference meeting between the long-time archrivals. It also is the Aggies' last scheduled home match of the season. A&M's five seniors -- Kelsey Black, Sarah Grace, Elise Hendrickson, Chelsea Ringel and Cinthya Roberto -- will be honored immediately following the match against the Longhorns.
The time of the A&M-Texas match, originally slated for 6:30 p.m., was changed to allow fans to also attend Bonfire Memorial and football pre-game activities scheduled for that evening.
A&M closes out the regular season at Iowa State on Saturday, Nov. 26. First serve against the Cyclones is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum.
The NCAA Selection Show airs Sunday, Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.
