No. 81 in ITA final doubles rankings (with Anna Mamalat)

2013-14 (FRESHMAN)

Entered the spring ranked No. 51 in the ITA national doubles rankings and No. 6 in the ITA Texas Region doubles rankings with sophomore Ines Deheza...Played the majority of the spring season with sophomore Anna Mamalat, and the pair was a season high No. 81 ranking in the ITA final national doubles rankings, as well as No. 8 in the final ITA Texas Region rankings...Finished the year with the third most doubles victories on the team, posting a 19-11 overall record, including a 2-4 mark against ranked opponents...Was 13-6 in doubles in dual matches only, going 11-3 with Mamalat and 2-3 with Deheza...Went 10-0 at the No. 3 line with Mamalat, including 4-0 in SEC matches...Saw action at both the No. 2 and 3 lines and was a combined 5-3 in SEC doubles matches, all with Mamalat...Went 15-11 overall in singles, including 1-5 against ranked opponents...Appeared in the singles lineup in 24 of 28 dual matches, seeing action at the Nos. 3-6 lines...Posted an 11-8 singles record in the spring, including a 5-3 mark in SEC singles matches only...Longest win streaks were four in singles and six in doubles...Named the SEC Freshman Player of the Week on Feb. 26...FALL RESULTS: Began the fall season ranked No. 10 in the ITA preseason freshman/newcomer rankings...In her A&M debut, posted ranked wins in both doubles and singles at the Duke Fab Four Invitational...Paired with Ines Deheza to defeat 42nd-ranked Ashley Dai and Tessa Lyons of North Carolina in her doubles debut and then defeated 92nd-ranked Lyons in straight sets in her first singles match as an Aggie on Sept. 13...Finished the fall 4-3 in singles and 6-5 in doubles...Went 2-3 against ranked doubles opponents, pairing with Deheza for both ranked wins...Their highest ranked victory was against No. 42 Ashley Dai and Tessa Lyons of North Carolina on Sept. 13.

PREVIOUS ATHLETIC EXPERIENCE

Participated in the 2013 Asian Youth Games in Nanjing, China in August and knocked off the No. 1 seed, Ching-Win Hsu, who was ranked No. 12 in the International Tennis Federation junior world rankings and had been ranked as high as No. 6 in the world earlier in the year...Is a two-time member of India’s Fed Cup Team, going 4-0 in the 2012 singles pool play...Advanced to the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles at the 24th Mitsubishi-Lancer International Junior Championships in the Philippines in March...Teamed with Camilla Rosatello of Italy to win the doubles title at the 2013 $10,000 Valladolid in Spain...Entered A&M ranked No. 441 in the ITF combined rankings, having been ranked a career-high No. 55 in the world on March 26, 2012...Was 718 in singles and No. 874 in the 2013 year-end World Tennis Association ranking.
