2013-14 (SOPHOMORE):
Went 12-12 overall in singles, including 4-8 against ranked opponents...Was 17-11 overall in doubles, posting a 4-7 ledger when facing ranked pairs...Was 8-5 in dual singles matches at the Nos. 2-4 positions despite being hampered by a nagging knee injury throughout the spring...After going 2-3 in SEC matches during the regular season, she recorded the highest-ranked win of her career with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Florida’s eighth-ranked Olivia Janowicz in the Aggies’ 4-3 quarterfinal victory at the SEC Championship on April 18 in Missouri...Had posted the first ranked singles win of her career against 118th-ranked Ashley Dai of North Carolina at fourth singles on Feb. 4, clinching A&M’s 4-3 team victory with a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (6) come-from-behind triumph in the last match standing against the No. 3 Tar Heels to seal the Aggies’ highest ranked team victory in school history...Also won the last match standing in A&M’s victory against No. 15 Baylor on Feb. 20, marking the second time Deheza came back after dropping the first set to win the final match and secure the win for the Aggies...Was No. 92 in the final ITA national singles rankings after reaching a career-high No. 84 in singles on May 1...Ranked No. 9 in the ITA final Texas Region singles rankings...In doubles, finished ranked No. 84 in the nation and No. 6 in the Texas Region with freshman partner Saska Gavrilovska...The pair, which was ranked as high as No. 60 during the regular season, went 8-4 overall, all in dual match competitions at the No. 2 line...They went 6-1 in SEC matches only...Highest ranked doubles win during the dual season was an 8-6 victory over No. 50 Ashleigh Antal and Marie Casares of Vanderbilt, helping the Aggies defeat the then-seventh ranked Commodores, 4-2 on March 9...Deheza was 10-7 in dual matches, having played all the doubles matches at the No. 2 line with either Gavrilovska or freshman Rutuja Bhosale...Longest win streaks were three in singles and seven in doubles...Had entered the spring No. 51 in the ITA national doubles rankings and No. 6 in the ITA Texas Region doubles rankings with Bhosale...FALL RESULTS: Went 3-6 in the fall singles and 7-3 in doubles, including 5-3 with Bhosale...In their first match together, Deheza and Bhosale defeated 42nd-ranked Ashley Dai and Tessa Lyons of North Carolina, 7-6 (4) in the opening round of the Duke Fab Four Invitational and then narrowly fell to No. 7 Marie Belaya and Jeltje Loomans of William and Mary, 8-7 (4)...Deheza and Bhosale also won three matches in the prequalifying doubles draw at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships, including an 8-3 victory over 59th-ranked Karolina Rozenbert and Ebba Unden of Long Beach State in the opening round, and went on to reach the round of 16 in the qualifying draw...Closed out the fall riding a four-match win streak, including a win with twin sister Paula Deheza...In singles, Ines advanced to the quarterfinals of the prequalifying draw at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships...Was No. 106 in the ITA preseason singles rankings released in September.

2013 (FRESHMAN): Joined the team in January and went 18-5 overall in singles, including 16-5 in dual matches...Saw action at the Nos. 3-5 lines, playing the majority of matches at No. 4 where she went 14-4...Was undefeated in SEC matches and tied for the team lead in conference wins with a 9-0 record, including 1-0 at the No. 3 line and 8-0 at No. 4...Went 4-1 in NCAA Championship singles matches, including a 6-3, 6-7 (9), 6-4 semifinal thriller against UCLA’s Chanelle Van Nguyen in the last match standing to send the Aggies to the championship match...Had trailed 4-2 in the final set before winning four consecutive games against the Bruin to secure the win and continue A&M’s historic run to the finals...Also had clinched the winning point in the last match standing in the Aggies’ 4-3 regular-season victory against seventh-ranked Alabama and finished the season with a team-leading six match-clinching victories...Posted the team’s longest win streak in singles with an 11-match win streak...Also posted the team’s longest winning streak in doubles with 10, including nine matches with twin sister Paula Deheza and one match with fellow freshman Anna Mamalat, all at the No. 3 line...Led A&M in dual match doubles victories with a 21-8 record, including a team-best 10-2 mark in SEC play...Went 20-7 overall when paired with Paula Deheza, including 2-0 at the No. 2 line and 17-7 at No. 3...Was 1-1 against nationally ranked opponents in doubles, teaming with Paula to post a commanding 8-2 victory against 68th-ranked Maria Christensen and Rachel Stuhlmann of Missouri...Was named the SEC Freshman of the Week on March 20 after helping lead the Aggies to victories against Virginia, LSU and Arkansas...No. 18 in the final ITA Texas Region rankings in singles. .

PREVIOUS ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Has been ranked as high as No. 9 in the world in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior world singles rankings...Was No. 6 in South America in 16-and-under age group in 2009 and No. 2 in 16-and-under in 2010...Has competed in the junior division at the U.S. Open, the French Open and Wimbledon, where she reached the round of 16 in doubles in 2012...Won both the singles and doubles titles at the ITF Inka Bowl (Peru) and the ITF Copa Coldeportes (Columbia)...Competed at the 2011 U.S. Open and partnered with twin sister Paula to advance to the round of 32 in doubles...Represented Bolivia at the 2009 and 2011 Federation Cup.

PERSONAL: Maria Ines Deheza is the daughter of Rafael Deheza and Ines Landivar...Her twin sister, Paula, also was on the Texas A&M tennis team before retiring prior to the 2014 spring season due to an injury...From a family of Aggies, her father and sister, Leny, also attended A&M...Hobbies are soccer and volleyball...Began playing tennis when she was 7 years old...Only official recruiting visit was to Texas A&M...Is majoring in finance...Born March 2, 1994, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
