Aggies Finish Seventh at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate

AWENDAW, S.C. — After posting its lowest round of the tournament during its final run through the Maverick Course on Tuesday, the No. 24 Texas A&M men’s golf team ended play at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in seventh place.

The Aggies (302-298-292=892) improved their team score each round at Bulls Bay Club, ending the event with a three-round total of 28-over par. Ninth-ranked Duke finished atop the leaderboard with a team score of 874 while North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Missouri, LSU and North Carolina rounded out the top sixth.

Individually, Aggie senior Cameron Peck (75-72-72=219) turned in his 17th career top-10 finish by ending the event in a tie for seventh place at three-over par. Sophomore Greg Yates (73-76-74=223), meanwhile, posted his fifth consecutive top-20 finished by earning a tie for 20th place with a three-round total of seven-over par.

North Carolina State’s Logan Harrell took home top medalist honors with a three-round total of 213 to sit atop the field at three-under par.

A&M senior Drew Evans (76-77-71=224) fired the Aggies’ lone round under par on the day, finishing four-under on the front nine with an eagle on No. 4 before ending the third round at one-under par. The Dallas native concluded the event in a tie for 22nd place at eight-over par.

Junior Johannes Veerman (78-74-75=227) finished in a tie for 33rd place.

Texas A&M men’s golf is back in action on April 6-7 when it hosts its lone home tournament of the season with the Aggie Invitational at Traditions Club.
