Took a big step forward during his second season in the Aggie program … competed in nine events as a sophomore, maintaining a 74.22 scoring average in 27 rounds of competition … carded two top-10 finishes with eight rounds of par or lower … recorded his first top 10 finish at the Valspar Invitational, tying for 10th with a score of three-under par … logged a 67 in the first round ... enjoyed his best performance as an Aggie at the NCAA Raleigh Regional (207, -6) recording a third-place finish, the highest of his collegiate career, along with a personal low round of 66 during the event's closing round … was 11-over par at the NCAA Championship, finishing in a tie for 99th place.
As a true freshman, participated in two tournaments … held a 77.67 scoring average in six rounds … made his Aggie debut in late October during the U.S. Collegiate Championship (238, +22), finishing 76th place … fired his low round of the season, a third-round 74, while playing as an individual during the Aggie Invitational (228, +12).
One of the top junior golfers in his country ... ranked third in the Spanish Boys (under 18) ranking and fifth in the Spanish Amateur ranking ... won the European Boys Under-18 championship in July 2011 and was a quarterfinalist at the Spanish International Amateur in March 2011 ... finished in a tie for third and a tie for fourth at the Spanish U21 Junior Tournament in 2010 and 2012, respectively ... ended in a second place tie at the McGregor Trophy in 2010 ... carded his best round of 67 at the Spanish International Junior in 2010.
