Earned the team’s Newcomer of the Year Award after his rookie season in which he played in eight tournaments … finished with a 74.30 scoring average in 23 rounds … posted a pair of top-five finishes while compiling six rounds of par or lower, including the lowest round by an Aggie all season with a 65 during the second round of the Carmel Cup … opened the season at the Carmel Cup, where he finished two-under par … powered by a second round 68, carded a top-five finish (5th) at the Kikkir Golf Husky Invitational (216, E) … ended the PING-GolfWeek Preview (226, +16) in a tie for 69th … began the spring semester by participating in the SeaBest Invitational (234, +18), finishing in a 69th place tie … earned a share of 61st place at the Southern Collegiate Maters (230, +14) … playing as an individual at the Don Puckette NIT (209, -7) in mid-March, posted a runner-up finish … returned to the A&M line-up at the Bulls Bay Intercollegiate but was disqualified after signing an incorrect third-round scorecard … final appearance of the season came as an individual during the Aggie Invitational (220, +4) where he finished tied for 23rd.
Qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur at the age of 15, advancing into match play, and returned to the match play round of the event two years later ... finished second in the St. Louis Men's and shot his best round yet in an amateur tournament with a 67 ... won the Pepsi Little Peoples, Missouri State and Southern Junior golf tournaments ... multiple top finishes under his belt, including a 12th-place showing at the 2011 Southern Junior, a 16th-place effort at the 2011 Western Junior and runner-up finish at the 2011 St. Louis Metropolitan Amateur Championship ... finished near the top in the Western Junior and the Junior Am ... has five career holes-in-one, including three during 2007.
