COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M senior Cassie Tysarczyk (pronounced tie-SAR-check) ends her illustrious career with a spot on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Third Team as an at-large outfielder, the group announced today.

Tysarczyk earns the only All-America award of her career just after signing with the USSSA Florida Pride of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF), and will begin her professional career with the Pride on Friday.

The San Antonio native finished her collegiate career at the NCAA Norman Regional. Over her four years with the Aggies, Tysarczyk earned two NFCA All-Region honors and was twice named to all-conference teams. This season she was named the Southeastern Conference All-Defensive Right Fielder after finishing regular-season play with eight outfield assists and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

At the plate this year, Tysarczyk ranked third on the team with a .366 average and sat at second among her peers with a .669 slugging percentage, 29 walks, 13 home runs and 11 doubles. Her five sacrifice flies tie for first among SEC hitters, and she also contributed three sacrifice bunts. The team captain was also perfect on the base paths, swiping four bags in as many attempts.

The award marks the 36th for Texas A&M, and Tysarczyk becomes the 22nd Aggie All-American. Her accolade is the 14th under Head Coach Jo Evans, who has put Texas A&M players on NFCA lists for five straight years.
