COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M softball Head Coach Jo Evans will be one of four panelists in the Network of Executive Women South Texas Chapter’s discussion on sports and their relation to career success in Houston on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The “Hustle, High Performance and Heart to Set You Apart in Your Career” panel will begin at 3 p.m. and run until 6:30 p.m. at the Junior League of Houston. In addition to Evans, Pam Gardner, CEO of Your Mind at Work; Steve Randol, Vice President of Nestle Retail Operations Center (NROC); and Reid Ryan, President of the Houston Astros, will round out the group of panelists. Evans, her fellow participants, and moderator Laura Lopez will discuss the desirable traits and qualities athleticism can bring to careers in the corporate world.
Evans begins her 18th season as the head coach of the Aggie softball program this year. With one of the highest winning percentages among active Division I coaches, Evans has led the Aggies to 14 NCAA Tournaments, including 12 straight, and coached the team to three conference titles. An advocate for her student-athletes, the Aggie skipper has coached 15 All-Americans, 39 All-Region selections, 70 All-Big 12 honorees, two All-SEC honorees and 49 members of the Academic All-Big 12 team.
