COLLEGE STATION, Texas - In the Aggies' 11th-straight NCAA Tournament Appearance, the No. 8-seeded Texas A&M softball team will host the College Station Regional, May 18-20, at the Aggie Softball Complex.
The Aggies (39-16) earned an at-large bid for their 23rd postseason appearance and will host Bethune-Cookman (30-29) at 7 p.m. on Friday. Louisiana State (34-22) and Texas State (37-15) will face off before the A&M-Bethune-Cookman game at 4 p.m.
The Wildcats were automatic qualifiers after capturing their third straight Mid-Easter Athletic Conference (MEAC) title. The Bobcats also received an automatic qualification after winning a second-consecutive Southland Conference Championship, while the Tigers claimed an at-large bid.
"We are very excited to get the No. 8 seed," head coach Jo Evans said. "It says a lot about our players and their resilience through the season and the strength of our schedule. I'm really happy for our players, and especially our seniors, to have the opportunity to play at home. I'm looking forward to the 12th Man and all of our Aggie fans showing up to give us a big home-field advantage."
All-Regional tickets will be $25 for reserved, $20 for general admission and $15 for student/youth GA. Single-day tickets will be sold for $10 for reserved seats, $7 for GA and $5 for student/youth GA. Children under the age of two will be admitted for free.

The SEC led the nation with nine teams in the tournament, followed by the Pac-12 with eight and the Big 12 with six.
The Division I softball championship sets a field of 64 teams. Thirty conferences were awarded automatic qualification, and the remaining 34 slots were filled with at-large selections to complete the bracket. The top 16 teams were seeded nationally.
Team pairings were determined by geographical proximity, with the exception that teams from the same conference were not paired during regional competition, when possible.
The regional winners advance to super regional competition for a best-of-three series May 27-28 at eight campus sites. The remaining eight teams advance to the WCWS, an eight-team, double-elimination tournament. The championship final will be a best-of-three-series. The WCWS will be conducted June 2-8 at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
All of Texas A&M's postseason games will be broadcast live on Sports Radio 1150 The Zone. To learn more about Texas A&M softball, log on to AggieAthletics.com or follow @AggieSoftball on Twitter.
