COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M softball head coach Jo Evans announced the transfer of sophomore Jenna Stark (Huntington Beach, Calif.) from Georgetown Tuesday.

Stark led the Hoyas from the plate in her rookie season with a .310 average on 45 hits, including seven doubles, a triple and three home runs. She plated a team-high 20 runs and scored nine of her own in 51 starts for Georgetown, while holding the club's second-highest slugging percentage at a .434 clip. The rising sophomore divided her time in the infield between second base, shortstop and third base.

Stark was also involved on the Georgetown campus as a freshman, representing the Hoyas softball team in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

"We are excited to have Jenna join our program," Evans said. "Her enthusiasm for the game and her strong leadership qualities will be a great addition to our program. We are happy to welcome Jenna and her parents to our Aggie softball family."

The Aggies finished the 2011 season in the NCAA Tournament at the Tempe Super Regional, marking the fourth time the team had reached that level. For more information on Texas A&M softball, log on to
