Aggies Compete at UHs Phill Hansell Invitational

HOUSTON --- The Texas A&M men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in the Phill Hansel Invitational Thursday through Saturday in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center of the University of Houston.

The Aggies will compete with the 19 other invited teams in both swimming and diving. Among the ranked opponents on the men's side are No. 4 Texas and No. 20 LSU. The No. 4 Aggie women will face No. 7 Texas, No. 15 UCLA, No. 17 LSU, and No. 21 Arkansas.
The A&M women are coming off an impressive win over No. 11 Florida Gators in Gainesville two weeks ago when the Aggies won 12 of 16 possible events on the way to a 196-104 win as they improved to 4-0 in dual meets this fall. Junior swimmer Breeja Larson and senior diver Rebecca St. Germain earned Southeastern Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week for their efforts against the Gators.

The Aggie men are coming off a loss to top ranked Florida two weeks ago. The Aggies were led by the dive crew against the Gators with junior Hayden Jones posting the fifth win of the season with a victory in the 1-meter dive, and sophomre Ford McLiney, who dove for Florida State last year, grabbingg the win in the 3-meter. Junior swimmer Omar Enriquez shined for the Aggies with four top four finishes.
