West Receives CS360 Weekly Honor

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M soccer junior Beth West was named a CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performer of the Week, the publication announced today.

West (Centennial, Colo.) earned the national honor after an outstanding performance last Friday when the Aggies defeated LSU, 4-0, to advance to the NCAA Second Round. The midfielder contributed two assists in the shape of corner kicks to bring her season assist total to 13.

The junior was also selected to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week yesterday and is a 2011 All-Big 12 First Team and Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree.

The No. 3-seeded Aggies head to Charlottesville, Va. this weekend to face Virginia Tech in the NCAA Second Round. The match is set for 3 p.m. CST Friday, and the winner will play the winner of the Virginia-Washington State game in the NCAA Third Round on Sunday at noon CST.
