The Big 12 Champion Texas A&M soccer team will host the University of Tulsa Saturday, Feb. 26,  at 5 p.m. in a spring exhibition match at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.

The Aggies took their 11th Big 12 championship in the regular season with a 15-5-3 overall record, finishing 8-1-1 in conference play. The team earned its 16th NCAA Tournament berth, advancing to the second round before falling to Minnesota. A&M recently hosted Stephen F. Austin in a spring contest on Feb. 12, defeating the Ladyjacks 1-0 on a lone goal scored by sophomore Nora Skelton.

The Golden Hurricane were 8-9-2 in 2010, posting a 3-6-2 Conference USA record. Freshman Claire Nicholson netted a team-leading 11 goals, including four game winners. Sophomore Katie Bykowski recorded a 1.07 goals-against average with three shutouts, grabbing 78 saves on 1,520 minutes in goal.

A&M head coach G Guerrieri is a 1985 graduate of Tulsa. He served as an assistant coach for the school’s men’s soccer program the same year.

A match between Tulsa and Prairie View A&M will occur at the Aggie Soccer Stadium at 1 p.m., prior to the game between the Aggies and the Hurricane. Admission to both events is free.
