COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Big 12 Champion Texas A&M soccer team hosts Houston Sunday, March 6, in a spring exhibition match at the Aggie Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

The Aggies took their 11th Big 12 championship in the regular season with a 15-5-3 overall record, finishing 8-1-1 in conference play. The team earned its 16th NCAA Tournament berth, advancing to the second round before falling to Minnesota. A&M hosted Tulsa on Feb. 26, shutting out the Golden Hurricane in a 4-0 victory. Junior Merritt Mathias scored two goals for the home team, while sophomore Chelsea Jones and redshirt freshman Kat Bartley netted two more.

The Cougars were 12-5-4 in 2010 and 6-2-3 in Conference USA play for the most successful season in the history of the program. Senior Lauri Byrne led the Houston offense with 18 points on eight goals and two assists. She took 68 shots on the season, 35 on frame. Freshman Cami Koski was 9-5-4 in goal for the Cougars, grabbing 64 saves and posting nine shutouts. This is the first match of Houston's spring season.
