COLLEGE STATION – The nationally-ranked Texas A&M football team will sign autographs for fans at the 2014 Meet the Aggies presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Gilliam Indoor Track Complex.
Doors to the complex, which is located at the south end of Kyle Field adjacent to Wellborn Road, will open at 12 noon to allow the line to begin forming inside the facility.
Fans participating in “Meet the Aggies” will receive an autograph card. In order to accommodate as many fans as possible, this will be the one and only item coaches and players will sign. They will also remain seated to sign, so there will not be an opportunity for posed photographs. A limited number of 2014 schedule posters will also be available.
No other items—for example, helmets, footballs, jerseys and photos – will be allowed in the Gilliam Indoor Track Complex.
Parking for the event is free in lot 61 (corner of John Kimbrough Blvd. and Wellborn Rd.) and lot 100 at Reed Arena. Consult the Texas A&M Transportation Services website at parking.tamu.edu for more information.
Parents of children will have the opportunity to register their kids with the Junior Aggie Club (JAC), which gives members free admission to over 160 athletic events through the school year.
The Aggie squad will have to depart promptly at 2:30 p.m. in order to prepare for that day’s practice, which is closed to the public.
No. 20 Texas A&M kicks off its 2014 football campaign against No. 9 South Carolina at 5 p.m. on Aug. 28 in the debut college football game on the SEC Network. Season tickets for Texas A&M’s home games can be purchased at the 12th Man Foundation’s Ticket Center at 12thMan.com/tickets or by calling toll-free 1 (888) 99-AGGIE (992-4443) or locally at (979) 845-2311.
