NEW YORK -- Texas A&M Athletics’12th Man Productions was named a Bronze winner in the 34th Annual Telly Awards for its 2012 Texas A&M Football Show, as announced this week.

With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, the Telly Awards is the premier industry award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films.

“We made a commitment last season to put Texas A&M’s best foot forward with an HD-quality coaches’ show shot on location at every football game,” 12th Man Productions' Andy Richardson said.  “This recognition is a reflection of the creative talents of our staff who put in countless hours to make a quality production.”

The weekly hour-long show, aired on Fox Sports Networks this past season, featured Aggie Head Coach Kevin Sumlin and was hosted by 12th Man Productions’ Will Johnson. The program included game recaps, features and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from each game during the Texas A&M’s historic inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference.

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards, said. “12th Man Productions’ accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”

The award marks the second industry award in as many weeks for the group. Last week 12th Man Productions won the category “Best Series in Collegiate Athletic Departments” as part of the College Sports Video Awards, presented by Sports Video Group (SVG), with their winning entry “Welcome to the SEC”.

Texas A&M’s 12th Man Productions won several Tellies for its 2009 Documentary “The Burning Desire”. The group annually produces all the video board content at Texas A&M home sports venues as well as supporting the various video productions needs of Aggie Athletics.
