Veteran receiver contributed 11 catches for 189 yards (17.2 average) and two touchdowns in nine games of action ... had a season-high three catches for 75 yards against Lamar, including a career-long 51-yard TD catch ... also contributed a 13-yard TD catch vs. Ole Miss.


Started in five of 10 games of action for the Aggies … had 17 receptions for 210 yards on the year, averaging 12.4 yards per catch … longest catch of the season was a 38-yard reception against UTEP (Nov. 2) … scored the first touchdown of his young career against Sam Houston State (Sept. 7) … averaged 21 yards per game as a receiver … joined the Aggies’ punt return team, logging 10 yards on one return against SHSU.


Saw action in all 13 games, catching six passes for 48 yards (8.0 average) … longest reception was 15 yards vs. Arkansas … also produced a season-high 26 total receiving yards on two catches against the Razorbacks.


Coached by Hal Wasson at Carroll HS in Southlake, Texas … helped lead Southlake Carroll to the Texas 5A Div. I State Championship, grabbing 11 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown in the title game as a senior … earned District 7-5A MVP honors and second-team All-State honors in 2011 … compiled 85 receptions for 1,336 yards and 14 touchdowns at wide receiver in 2011 … recorded 46 tackles, including four tackles for loss, two interceptions, 19 passes broken up, and 2 fumble recoveries on the defensive side… as a junior, Holmes grabbed 17 receptions for 297 yards and two touchdowns … rated as a 3-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247sports.com … chose Texas A&M over offers from Memphis and Baylor.
