COLLEGE STATION—Texas A&M and UTSA have agreed to a two-year football series with both games being played at Kyle Field. The first meeting is slated for Nov. 12, 2016 and the second meeting is scheduled for Nov. 2, 2019.
The Aggies are led by head coach Kevin Sumlin and ended the 2012 season, their inaugural season in the SEC, with an 11-2 overall record and a No. 5 national ranking and finished tied for second in the SEC West with a 6-2 conference mark.
The Roadrunners of UTSA are part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and will officially join Conference USA in July of 2013, its third season of playing football. In 2012, UTSA finished 8-4 and was 3-3 as a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
The Aggies open the 2013 season at Kyle Field against Rice on Aug. 31.
