Szeryk Finishes 15th at 2014 Youth Olympic Games

COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M incoming freshman Maddie Szeryk finished tied for 15th at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games taking place in Nanjing, China at the Zhongshan International Golf Club.

The Allen High graduate finished the individual portion of the tournament with three rounds of 74. Finishing at 6-over par, Szeryk was 13 strokes out of medal contention. Lee Soyoung of the Republic of Korea took gold medal honors at 14-under par.

Szeryk will partner with Tony Gil of Vaughan, Ontario for a mixed team portion of the games beginning Sunday, August 24th. The pair will be accompanied to Nanjing by Robert Ratcliffe, lead coach with Team Canada’s Development Squad. Ratcliffe has international playing and coaching experience and has worked with Golf Canada’s National Team program since 2007.
