COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M women’s golf team will wrap up spring break at the 2014 SunTrust Gator Invitational hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville March 14-16.

The 42nd annual event will take place at the Mark Bostick Golf Course. The par 70, 6,002 yard course will host 14 teams, including three ranked in the Golf World/WGCA Coaches’ Poll top-20. The field is set to play 18 holes each day of the three-day tournament.

“The golf course is pretty straight forward but can come back to get you at times,” head coach Trelle McCombs said. “If we can keep playing to the middle of the greens and putting ourselves in good position we should be just fine.”

The Aggies are returning to action after besting Clemson and GRU-Augusta at the Battle at the Valley in Graniteville, SC Sunday. Reigning SEC Freshman of the Week Marijosse Navarro took home the individual title at even-par over 36 holes, senior Katerina Ruzickova claimed runner-up honors four days ago.

“We are looking forward to building off of our play in South Carolina,” McCombs said. “That was a great confidence boost for this young team.”

In addition to Navarro and Ruzickova, the Aggies will be represented by freshman Callie Scheffler, Bianca Fabrizio and Andrea Jonama.

The tournament will tee of Friday morning at 8 a.m. (CT) with the Aggies stepping to the tee box alongside golfers from Ohio State and Florida State at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring for the event will be available at GolfStat.com.
