COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The No. 11 Texas A&M women's golf team seeks its fifth and final conference title at the 2012 Big 12 Championship Friday through Sunday, April 27-29, at the Lawrence Country Club in Lawrence, Kan.

The Aggies tee off at 8 a.m. (CT) Friday and are paired with No. 19 Oklahoma State for the first round. The 2012 Championship consists of a total of 54 holes, with 18 holes of golf played each day. All 10 schools compete at the par-70, 6,510-yard course. The event is open to the public.

Last year, Texas A&M fired the low round on the final day, but fell just short of its fifth Big 12 Championship. Sophomore Katerina Ruzickova fueled the Aggies and turned in the fourth-lowest score in the event's history (71-72-70=213) for a second-place finish.

This season, Texas A&M has finished in the top five in all but two tournaments and is coming off its lowest score of the year (873) at the PING/ASU Invitational. The team is led by Ruzickova with a 73.65 stroke average. Freshman Patricia Garcia has come on hot in the past month averaging 73.38 shots per round.

Joining Ruzickova and Garcia in A&M's lineup this weekend are juniors Mary Michael Maggio (74.96) and Sarah Beth Davis (75.40), and sophomore Natalie Reeves (76.52).

The Aggies have finished in the top two in the Big 12 Championship every year since 2006. In that six-year span, A&M won three Big 12 titles ('06, '07, '10) and had three runner-up finishes ('08, '09, '11). The Aggies won their first Big 12 crown in 1998.
